When this couple agreed to take maternity photos I was over the top with excitement because I knew that they would be such a fun couple to work with. K was 36 weeks along. Their son came into the world just one week later. Our timing was perfect. Just two weeks after taking maternity portraits I was busy getting to know baby C.  We are going to be great friends.  At 9 days old he did not want to miss a bit of action. Although he was fed and tired he kept his eyes open for another 90 minutes.  What a trooper!  It is my pleasure to have spent time in the early days of life with this new family of three.

The things we sometimes take for granted are usually the simplest.

I’ve been having fun with the project I’m working on with a few friends. It’s a challenge to take a new photo every day and keep it interesting.  Looking at everything in new ways is refreshing in the dead of winter.  Kids and food…how can you miss? Thanks for taking a look.

I’ve been working on a year long project with some friends called project 365.  The object is to simply take a photo every day and post it to our group on flickr (project365-2010 if you would like to join) So far it has forced me to pick up my camera and keep shooting even on off days. Here is today’s shot. Feel free to leave a comment with ideas for the next 300 or so photos I’ll need to take.
